Our Chief Educator, Rachel Juhl, is teaming up with buddy, Brad Hedeman of Zingerman’s Mail Order, to offer an incredible first of it’s kind opportunity for cheese lovers all over the United States. She’ll be joined by famed Gouda Goddess, Betty Koster, from her cheese shop in the port city of Ijmuiden outside of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and together they’ll share how to taste and select cheese like a pro.

Betty will start by giving us a behind-the-scenes tour of her cheese shop featuring over 200 cheeses as well as her caves where she ages small-batch artisanal Dutch cheeses, and share with us her favorite stories and pairings. Afterward, Rachel will guide us through a tasting of three of Europe’s most famous and beloved cheeses: Italy’s Parmigiano Reggiano, Spain’s Manchego and France’s Comté.

Rachel will show us all how to entertain with cheese and how to share what we’ve learned without sounding like know-it-alls! Nibble, listen, learn, and laugh your way through a flight of Europe’s most famous cheeses!

You’ll receive enough cheese, tasting accompaniment and a loaf of Zingerman’s Artisan Bread for a generous tasting with four people (or for one person to have leftovers after the event). The class will take place over Zoom. The event is hosted by Zingerman’s with special guest stars.
