Our Chief Educator, Rachel Juhl, will join the customers of Des Moines only cut-to-order cheese shop in a side-by-side blind tasting of Comte, Manchego, and Aged Gouda - one variety produced at a big box store next to Essex’s own selection. She will educate customers about the history of these cheeses, contributing factors to a cheese’s flavor and texture both inside and outside the vat, climaxing with students tasting each cheese and voting on which cheese was selected while the other simply “sold”.
